A little bit about Mark …

As Director of Acquisitions & Development at The Kor Group and Proper Hospitality, Mark Zikov brings deep experience in acquisitions, deal diligence, and asset repositioning—particularly in boutique and mixed-use hospitality real estate. He leads the evaluation and execution of high-impact development opportunities, aligning creative design with long-term value creation across the firm’s portfolio.

Proper Hospitality currently operates 12 lifestyle hotels across its Proper, By Proper, and Collective brands, with additional landmark projects in the pipeline across the U.S. and Mexico.

Mark began his career at KPMG, advising Fortune 500 companies and private equity clients on complex M&A transactions. This foundation in financial due diligence and deal advisory informs his rigorous, investment-minded approach to hospitality development.

He holds dual degrees in Financial Economics and Accounting from the University of Redlands and remains actively engaged in the Los Angeles hospitality community, including through his work with the International Luxury Hotel Association’s (ILHA) West Coast chapter.
