A little bit about Troy…

Troy Furbay is a seasoned lodging and real estate executive with deep expertise in hotel investing, development, value creation, and organizational leadership. As Chief Investment Officer at DiamondRock Hospitality, he led the company’s strategic shift toward resort, lifestyle, and independent hotels, enhancing portfolio performance and brand differentiation. Prior to DiamondRock, he was Chief Investment Officer at Loews Hotels, spearheading growth in key urban markets through acquisitions and new developments. Troy has also held senior roles at Kimpton Hotels and MeriStar Hospitality, and began his career in real estate consulting at KPMG. Known for executing complex transactions and driving long-term asset value, he is also recognized for his leadership during transformative organizational growth. He is an active member of ULI’s Hotel Development Council and AHLA, and frequently speaks at industry conferences. Troy holds a B.A. from the University of North Carolina and an M.B.A. from Fordham University.
