A little bit about Barbara…

Barbara Beckley is proud to be an accomplished long-time, freelance travel writer, who has traveled the globe on assignment for numerous newspapers, magazines, news services and national travel agent, meeting planner and incentive publications. Barbara's outlets include frequent contributions to the Los Angeles Times, Alaska Airlines Beyond magazine, Horizon Air magazine, Valley Scene Magazine, Visit Palm Springs, Princess Cruises magazine, Travel Agent Magazine, Prevue magazine, Business Travel, The Mexico Meeting & Incentive Planners Guide, Association News, and many others. She also lectured on travel writing at UCLA Extension. Why travel writing? "My degree is in journalism and I worked for a newspaper early on. As a travel journalist I'm always learning and sharing. About wonderful destinations, experiences and people." Barbara is a longtime member of SATW (the Society of American Travel Writers).
