A little bit about Jennifer…

Jennifer Baum, founder + president of Bullfrog + Baum believes that hospitality is everywhere and her renowned marketing communications agency is everywhere in hospitality today.  

Baum’s interest in restaurants sparked while earning her MBA from New York University when she was then starting an early career in finance.  With her natural business savvy and unyielding passion for food and beverage, Baum established Bullfrog + Baum in 2000 and has since grown one of the leading boutique firms specializing in public relations for restaurants into an integrated marketing communications agency.  With a roster of top-name chefs, restaurants, hotels, resorts, consumer products, events, and tourism boards from around the globe, Baum has undoubtedly helped to shape the landscape of the industry. 

Celebrating 20 years of creative communications for a more hospitable world, Baum continues to evolve in the rapidly shifting media and marketing realms. She considers her countless contacts as critical to her success, but digital acumen and 360-degree integration also defines her and the agency’s award-winning work. Baum maintains a hands-on role with each client, which she attributes, along with loyalty and integrity, to the longevity of her relationships.

Marquee partnerships with boldfaced names like Bobby Flay, Laurent Tourondel and Sara Moulton have persisted while up-and-comers like Michael Psilakis and Alex Guarnaschelli have risen to fame under her tutelage.  Megalithic restaurants and iconic brands like BLT Restaurants, TAO Group, Black Tap Craft Burgers & Beer, Blue Ribbon Restaurants and Katz’s Delicatessen lead a staggering list of food and beverage clients.  The agency’s expansion into global tourism includes heavy hitters such as the Singapore Tourism Board, Canyon Ranch, Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, and Changi Airport Group.

Jennifer has recently been named a 2019 New York Business Journal Woman of Influence;  one of the Top Women in Foodservice & Hospitality by Total Food Service and recognized a “Visionary” and one of the Top Women in Communications in 2019 by Ragan Communications.  She is a member of Women in Communications, PRSA, Citymeals-on-Wheels, City Harvest Food Council, International Association of Culinary Professionals, The James Beard Foundation, International Foodservice Editorial Council and Les Dames d’Escoffier.  Jennifer has been an Adjunct Professor and guest lecturer at New York University’s Department of Nutrition and Food Studies and is a guest lecturer at The Institute of Culinary Education. Baum resides in New York City with her husband, son and two beloved Goldendoodles, Zelda and Walter.
