Ben Uyeda

Co-Founder, Reset Hotel

A little bit about Ben …

Ben Uyeda is the co-founder and designer of RESET Hotel, a brand new 65-room destination hotel on 180 acres beside Joshua Tree National Park. His work has reached over half a billion people worldwide through projects that range from small-scale DIY builds to houses, large-scale art installations, and now hospitality.

Before launching RESET, Ben co-founded ZeroEnergy Design, an award-winning firm recognized nationally for sustainable architecture, and taught sustainable design as a visiting lecturer at Cornell University, where he earned both his Bachelor and Master of Architecture degrees. He is also the author of HomeMade Modern and a TEDx speaker.

Known for sharing his design ideas widely online, Ben has built a following of more than two million across YouTube and Instagram, where his projects—such as the viral Joshua Tree shipping container house—have inspired millions. That project ultimately sparked the collaboration that led to the founding of RESET.
