A little bit about Jennifer…

Founder and President Jennifer Hawkins is a public relations and communications specialist with expertise earned promoting some of the finest hotels, resorts and hospitality brands in the world. Her combined passion for travel, media and entrepreneurship drive Hawkins International, which has grown steadily over nearly 20 years while offering insight and innovative services to meet client needs. Jennifer’s talent for trend spotting, embrace of digital and social media, and solid leadership have fostered loyalty among top editors and hospitality brands.

Since launching Hawkins International on her own in 2002, Jennifer has focused on building a strong client list while growing the firm in staff and square footage. Even as Hawkins International's portfolio blossomed, its office expanded, and its staff increased to 20+ professionals, she has steadfastly maintained the firm’s boutique stature, the better to maneuver, innovate, and personalize services in ways more sizable agencies cannot. She has further positioned Hawkins International as a go-to resource sought by key media influencers for trends and keen insight on the travel industry and other luxury sectors.

Jennifer fell hard for travel as a youngster while backpacking through Europe with her father. Her continued passion has taken her to more than 50 countries across six continents. (One of these days she’ll make it to Antarctica.) Prior to Hawkins International, she headed public relations in the U.S. for Orient-Express Hotels, helping the company achieve new heights of media awareness. A graduate of the University of California, Irvine with a degree in Social Ecology, Jennifer is socially committed to her community and in her spare time works with the Girl Scouts, Urban Dove and others. Likewise, many Hawkins International staffers regularly join efforts to enrich their communities and support local and national causes. Jennifer lives in Chelsea with her husband Jon, who is also an entrepreneur in NYC, their two kids, and their beloved dog Sunny.
