A little bit about Diana…

Health advocate and bestselling author Diana Stobo opened The Retreat Costa Rica to help coach guests back to good health.

Diana Stobo, a celebrity chef, best-selling author, health and wellness life coach and founder and owner of The Retreat Costa Rica, wasn’t always a health advocate. But she knows well the challenging journey to optimum wellness and has found a way to share her wisdom with others on a similar path.

Now an innovator in the global wellness industry and self-proclaimed “spa junkie and detox diva,” her passion for helping people heal themselves is rooted in her past struggles with physical challenges that traditional medicine failed to offer permanent solutions for. Battling multiple conditions while raising three children, she decided to take control of her health and research health practices from around the world until she was educated enough to heal herself. Through a combination of nutrition, detoxification, exercise and meditation, she turned around her health, lost 100 pounds and became a passionate advocate for helping people after seeing first-hand how tapping into her own power and desire to change completely transformed her life.

While Stobo’s specialty has always been food as a modality for change, her education and expertise lies in life transformation and spirit coaching, through quantum physics and the Law of Attraction. Her goal at The Retreat Costa Rica – a tropical luxury resort nestled among lush vegetation in the arms of a quartz mountain with stunning views of the Nicoya Peninsula and Pacific Ocean — is to offer a transformational wellness center where guests can escape their daily chaos and stress and reset their internal sense of balance in a nurturing and gentle environment. Her signature wellness programs and gastronomic concepts are offered in a peaceful setting that stills the mind and inspires the soul.

The author of 15 books including the popular “Get Naked Fast,” Stobo is a classically trained chef, nutrition expert and early pioneer in the raw food movement who has now coached thousands of people back to good health and is known for her ability to create tools and practices that empower and facilitate transformation. She is the creator and lead formulator of Truth Bar, an innovative prebiotic and probiotic gut health bar available in boutique health food stores across the U.S. Now a trusted and sought after speaker on a host of subjects, including digestive health, food as a modality for change, hormone balancing, sex, aging well, weight management, wellness travel and more, Stobo is bringing her knowledge to guests at The Retreat Costa Rica, which has won numerous awards including "Best Wellness Spa of the Americas" by World Boutique Awards and #1 Detox Spa Worldwide by W Magazine. Currently, she is venturing into wellness community real estate as well as expanding The Retreat and completing construction on the first Ayurvedic Healing Center and Spa in Costa Rica.
